The Book Bus returns to Northampton Radio Group parking lot!
15 Hampton Ave., Northampton MA 10am-noon

Clean out your bookshelves and mark your calendar – Saturday, September 9th from 10am to noon is the Book Bus! We’re collecting used and new books of any kind (with a special emphasis on children’s books) for Reader to Reader, the Amherst-based nonprofit that helps increase literacy by getting books to underfunded schools, libraries in low-income communities and Native American reservations.

Bring a book, a bag of books, bring a whole library – we want as many books as we can get! New, used, all are welcome. Just bring them in a grocery bag or box, please, so we can easily load and unload them.

Enjoy readings from Jeanne Birdsall, Lisa Yee and a very special guest. Plus music from Shiprock and Anchordog!

The Book Bus is located in River’s parking lot, 15 Hampton Ave., downtown Northampton. Hours are 10am-noon. Bring books and enjoy music and special appearances from local hero children’s book authors and more.

Thanks to our sponsors for making the Book Bus possible! Alternative Recycling, Northampton Brewery, A2Z Science and Learning Store, Cowl’s Building SupplyEric Carle Museum, Galaxy Restaurant, Hampshire GymnasticsNortheast Solar and Pierce Bros. Coffee!
