Montague has been awarded an 11.3 million dollar grant to build a brand spanking new libarary! This grant covers 48% of the cost! Which would create a building that’s ADA compliant, can host their programs on site, has better parking and so much more!

They’re here to discuss a unique grant program that’s funding local restaurants to prepare meals, which are then distributed to food-insecure communities across the Commonwealth—including right here in western Massachusetts.

This initiative is putting $450,000 into action, helping provide around 50,000 meals while also supporting restaurants facing rising costs, staffing challenges, and shifting consumer habits in the wake of the pandemic. It’s a win-win for both the restaurants and the individuals who rely on food pantries and community meal programs.
