It’s a citywide scavenger hunt throughout downtown northampton featuring tiny murals, sculptures and installantions. starting this weekend sept 26th and 27th and going through October!

Today I’m so excited to have in our friend and local hero Wallace Field! Who just released her medieval 60’s folk inspired EP Fantasy on the autumnal equinox! This album not only touches on everything from hometown pride, heartbreak and feudalism but is pushing against Ai and the perfectionism it’s trying to force through playing with the analogue. On today’s show we have in Joey asbel, the organizer of the 2nd annual Altamira Music festival coming up Saturday sept 26th in Gill! This festival run from 1 to 8pm and is a family friendly celebration of music, cider, food and more! The festival is completely free to get into but the organizers hope to fundraise through food, merch and other sales for The Cure Alzheimer’s fund.

Emily’s Interviews – Montague library vote
On today’s show I’m excited to invite in the director of the montague library Caitlin as well as the chair of the library trustee’s will to talk about voting on a new library!! Montague has been awarded an 11.3 million dollar grant to build a brand spanking new libarary! This grant covers 48% of the cost! Which would create a building that’s ADA compliant, can host their programs on site, has better parking and so much more!
With the voting looming, there is a lot of information being spread around. Much conflicting! it thought today would be a great opportunity to debunk misinformation out there and talk about why a new library would be amazing for Montague!

Emily’s Interviews – Petersham Curling Club
Before too long the 25th Winter Olympics will be coming right up. They’re opening February 6th in italy, this will be the first time the olympics are being cohosted by two cities Milan and Cortina D’ampezzo. there are so many incredible athletes competing in things like, figure skating, alpine skiing, speed skating and so many others. Today i wanted to focus on an Olympic Sport you can try out yourself, Curling! Today i have in Jesse Coulle from The Petersham Curling club to break down this wonderfully weird sport!
