Following the assassination attempt on former President Trump at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the Massachusetts State Police issued a statement saying that although there is no known connection or direct threat to Massachusetts at this time, they are working with federal, state, and local partners to monitor the situation. Out of an abundance of caution, the state police are increasing their presence in highly trafficked areas across the state.
