The town of Leverett and the Rattlesnake Gutter Trust have been working to secure funds to maintain Rattlesnake Gutter Road. On February 8th the Franklin Regional Council of Governments approved the discontinuance of the road as a county road allowing the road to be eligible for Community Preservation Act funding and Mass Trails funding for both emergency vehicle access and recreation. The town expects funding for projects as soon as this fall.
