Greenfield is borrowing money for several upcoming city projects while outside accountants work to resolve nearly two million dollars in bookkeeping discrepancies. Mayor Ginny Desorgher says the city remains financially stable. Councilors approved $600,000 for sewer and stormwater work and $75,000 for a detailed review of the city’s books. More borrowing for capital projects will be considered next month.
