A wrongful-death lawsuit against the city of Northampton is moving closer to trial. A federal judge has refused to throw out the case brought by the mother of a 16-year-old student who died by suicide in 2020 after alleged bullying at Northampton High School. The judge ruled a jury could find the school failed to properly investigate or respond to warning signs. Both sides are due back in court September 9th to discuss a possible settlement or trial.
