Double Edge Theater in Ashfield has premiered a new piece by Travis Coe and directed by Double Edge founder, Stacy Klein. SUGA is a one man piece exploring Travis’ “Afro-Caribbean/Latinx history and touches/reveals/remixes all the aspects of himself—as Queer, Black, Latino, and American.” It’s a powerful performance with some powerful influences including James Baldwin and Beyonce. Hear what Monte and Travis has to say about the new show.
