I won’t pretend that I knew Juanita Nelson well.  But I will say, the few times my family and I had the opportunity to go to her Woolman Hill home and pump water from her well and share a meal with her left an indelible impression.  It was an honor to sit down with her and record some of her amazing story.  This is my 2011 conversation with Juanita, recorded just days before The Belmonte family and so many others went to go hear her speak at a church in Old Deerfield.
