The Iron Horse Music Hall is proud to present two esteemed Singer-Songwriters, LA WOOD and BECCA BYRAM who will perform together and showcase songs to be featured on their new CD’s.
LA WOOD, 2013 Winner Malibu Music Awards Best Female Pop Artist, learned the basics of music on piano in second grade and shortly thereafter, the 4 string guitar from a flea market, to the rhythms and tunings of 6 and 12 String guitar. In addition to her southern music roots, she was influenced primarily by Joni Mitchell and Leo Kottke. She studied Vocal Jazz at UMASS Amherst and music at Skidmore College where she began her professional music career. After a brief collaboration with Brazil ‘66 in NYC, she became an accomplished Latin Percussionist. She has been a studio musician for Indie and Award winning Folk records and has accompanied and collaborated with numerous musicians across the USA and Europe. In Boston, she won an Acoustic Underground Artist Award for her Latin inspired trio. After recording her self-produced acclaimed CD retitled “I AM YOUR LOVER”, she was hired as a regular Beach Bar Entertainer at The Pier House Resort and the Blue Heaven Restaurant in Key West, Florida, a starting place for Jimmy Buffet. There she learned Harmonica and wrote and arranged over 200 covers and originals. She coined her sound “Conch Rock” and soon earned recognition as a popular tourist attraction that caught the eye of Malibu Music Festival and Awards Producers in California, where she won the award for Best Pop Female Artist. Currently, she is working on producing several CD projects that will capture the wealth of her musical history. She loves all forms of music and great classic artists such as Tito Puente, Sarah Vaughan, Annie Lennox, Van Morrison, the Beach Boys, the Indigo Girls and Reggae Masters Bob Marley, and Jimmy Cliff.
Becca Byram: a.k.a. Analoggirl a.k.a. Rebecca Byram-Wigfield is a singer/songwriter and analog keyboard specialist. Originally from the UK, she won a choral scholarship to Clare College, Cambridge at 17.
Becca Byram moved to the US in 1996 and worked as a session musician and song-writer in NYC. She developed a reputation as an analog keyboard player and vocalist, and was soon offered a residency by Eddie Germano at The Hit Factory in NYC. Becca was signed to Caroline Records by Bill Laswell, and her first record, “Becca’s Smoke and Candy Store” was released in 1998. Her sophomore album “Nice to Be There” was recorded in Los Angeles in 2001.

Blige, Dead Presidents, The Gathering Fields, Jennifer Lopez, No Mercy, Bray Film Studios, Mariah Carey, Jamiroquai, Keith Richards, Aaron Neville, Charles Neville, Jess, Living Color, Freddy Jones Band, Steve Gadd, Blondie, Jewel, Peter diStefano, Anthony Jackson, David Baerwald, Bran’ Nubians, Clint Black, Doug Wimbish, Gary Burr, Bashiri Johnson, Sharon Vaughn, Wu Tang Clan, Wallace Roney, Vince Wilburn, Robbie Robertson, and many others.
Her songs are featured in several movie soundtracks “The Heartbreakers” (Sigorney Weaver/Jennifer Love-Hewitt), “Any Given Sunday” (Jamie Foxx) “Sweet November” (Keanu Reeves). She was also Assistant Music Director on the Televised Comedy Show Saturday Night Live in NYC.
Becca resides in Los Angeles, CA and Massachusetts and will be promoting the release of her seventh album produced by Dave Way featuring the talents of Steve Gadd, Nick Mancini, Wayne Shorter, and Michael McDonald.
