Monday & Tuesday November 23 & 24th

Two days. Three counties. Over 40 miles.

And Congressman Jim McGovern is going the whole way.

The goal? To break last year’s $65,000 in donations to feed hungry folks in the 413

Monte and his entourage will push three shopping cart 17 miles from Springfield’s St. John Congregational Church in Mason Square in Springfield on Monday November 23rd and then 26 miles from Northampton to Greenfield on Tuesday November 24th.

All to raise money for The Food Bank of Western Mass

7am-St. John’s Church in Mason Square on Hancock Street with a celebration kick-off. Heading towards St. James Street through Springfield

8:30am-Chicopee City Limits

9:00am-Chicopee Falls

10:00am-Pit-stop at Gateway City Arts in Holyoke

11am-1 or 2PM finish walking down Northampton Street to Northampton

When we arrive in Northampton, Monte will go all request from the River studios for people who have called in donations to the Food Bank Phone Bank.

6:30pm-fundraising dinner at Northampton Brewery

7am: Route 9 Hadley near Mi Tierra

8 am: Whole Foods Hadley

9:15 am: Downtown Amherst

10:30 am: Amherst Survival Center

12:00 pm: Downtown Sunderland

1:15 pm: Chandler’s Restaurant at Yankee Candle for lunch

2:30 pm-5:30pm: Route 5&10 north

5:30 or 6pm: Complete 26 mile trek at Seymour on Bank Row in Greenfield.
