Time for the River’s Top 93 Songs of 2023 listener survey – your chance to tell us what your favorite new songs were from the past year! This year, we’re focusing on local artists – music makers from our listening area who made a splash with a new release or a new single.

Check out the link below, and vote for your favorites! You get a vote a day – spend them all on one artist, or spread them around. Tune in on New Year’s Eve as we play The River’s top 93 songs from 2023 – and we’ll do a local music countdown on a special edition of Local Currents with Jim Neill that afternoon! Then, we’ll rerun the whole countdown again on New Years Day.

Your vote does more than support an artist you love, it could get you into a great show! We’re giving a few lucky voters a pair of tickets of their choosing to one of the following DSP Shows of your choice in 2024:

Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country at The Drake on Thursday, February 8th

Ladysmith Black Mambazo at Bombyx for two shows on Sunday, February 18th

An Evening with Cowboy Junkies at The Shea in Turners Falls on Saturday, February 24th

Jonathan Richman at the Academy of Music on Friday, March 1st

Pat Metheny at the Academy of Music on Friday, April 12th

The Green River Festival with Cake, Fleet Foxes, Gregory Alan Isakov and more June 21-23 in Greenfield

Vote early, vote once a day, now through the end of the year.
