It’s the final Camp Out!**  Wednesday February 26-Thursday February 27

Sign up to camp out with Monte right here.

When we were dreaming up something to do to support the Cancer Connection over a decade ago Monte thought, “Let’s do some ridiculous publicity stunt. Maybe I’ll do some stupid endurance thing. Let’s make it hurt a bit. What’s something I hate? I know! Camping! What’s something else I hate? The cold and the winter? Let’s camp out in the cold in the winter in the middle of a city until we raise $5000!”

And the rest is history. But when dreaming up this year’s Camp Out Monte thought, “Maybe we should add something else that I hate. What else do I hate? I know-The Grateful Dead.”

Monte will, Clockwork Orange Style, subject himself to the music of the Grateful Dead. The endless noodling solos, the unendurable long songs. And he will have to listen as long as the money continues to come in. That way you annoying Dead heads will have to pony up to keep subjecting Monte to your musical torture. All the while keeping the money flowing for Cancer Connection.

We’re calling it Cancer Connection Campout: Grateful Dead Thunderdome

Want to camp with Monte? Or want to couch camp?

The goal is to raise at least $1,000 to join Monte (but you’ll need your own tent!).

Funds you help raise go a long way toward providing all-free services of 1-to-1 guidance, integrative therapies, support groups, and many physical and creative workshops that help people take care of themselves at a very trying time of life. We serve the caregivers and loved ones of the people dealing with cancer, too.

Sign up to camp out with Monte right here.

**WHY??  “The Old Courthouse will have new owners this time next year,” says Monte. “We’re not sure they’ll allow an event like this to continue. Let’s go out on a high, noodly note and raise as much as we can for the Cancer Connection.”

Thank you to the sponsors who make this possible!
