At last check you helped the Food Bank to the tune of $337,041.18. With each dollar enough for the Food Bank of Western Mass to provide 3 meals that means we met and surpassed ONE MILLION MEALS!

Monday and Tuesday November 25th and 26th, Monte Belmonte and his entourage of marchers, including anti-hunger action hero U.S. Congressman Jim McGovern, will once again walk from Springfield to Greenfield to raise money for The Food Bank of Western Mass.

Last year they raised $294,720. The Food Bank  can take each dollar and turn it into 3 meals.

The March will begin at 7AM on Monday 11.25.19, starting at MLK Family Services in Springfield and will end in the mid-afternoon at the radio station, 15 Hampton Ave Northampton.

Day two will begin at 6AM on Tuesday 11.26 right around the corner from the station at the office of Congressman McGovern on Pleasant Street and will end around 6PM at in Greenfield.

6 am: Pick up Congressman McGovern at his office on Pleasant St

7am: Route 9 Hadley near Mi Tierra

8 am: Whole Foods Hadley

9:15 am: Downtown Amherst

10:30 am: Amherst Survival Center

12:00 pm: Downtown Sunderland

12:45 pm: Pit Stop at Berkshire Brewing Company with lunch from Bueno y Sano

2:30 pm-5:30pm: Route 5&10 north

5:30 or 6pm: Monte’s March: the DenouMonte! We complete our 26 mile trek at Hawks and Reed in Greenfield. We’re welcomed by Double Edge Theater, plus a special performance by Mr. Drag & Karl to kick off a night of karaoke. Food from Stone Soup Cafe, Hope & Olive and Magpie. $10 min. donation at the door.
