Downtown Amherst is throwing a party so big they have to close the streets! The Amherst Block Party. A playground for all ages. Half a mile of food, fun and music. Wednesday, October 4, 5 to 9 pm, rain or shine, from the center of town to Kendrick Park. 25 restaurants serving in the streets. Circus performers. Basketball, martial arts and gymnastics demos.

The River Stage 
5pm Trailer Park – A ten-legged rock and roll machine powered by rock and roll guitar, bass, drums, and twin tenor saxophones.
