I spent a lot of time at DC Space, the Birchmere and the 9:30 club, as well as the Wax Museum, the Warner Theatre and countless hardcore shows held in the basements of forgiving churches. At the time, DC was a great hotspot for movies as well, and I spent a lot of time in darkened theaters across the district. One of my favorites was the American Theater, which showed triple features of Kong Fu movies all night long.
I went to school at Umass and like so many before me, I ended up staying here because I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. I’ve worked as a janitor, waiter, record store clerk and at a museum devoted to comic book art. I went back to school recently, and learned how to take xrays of people. So nowadays, I spend my days taking xrays and my nights in Philville.
