(Massachusetts)   —  Governor Patrick has refiled legislation to lift the state’s liquor license cap.  The measure would give local government full control over how many licenses they issue.  A similar measure failed to make it into the final version of a recent economic development bill.  Some business owners are against the measure after paying big bucks for licenses on the private market.  Others say the current limits are arbitrary and work against economic development goals.
