(Northampton, MA) — Massive downtown Northampton snow banks will be removed starting late Monday night. Some business owners tell the “Gazette” they’re frustrated with the delay. Public works director Ned Huntley defends his department, saying they have to take care of the whole city, not just downtown. Huntley adds that department budgets are thin, and that major snow removal is best done when the weather is cold. Frigid temperatures are set to return to Western Mass this week, along with the possibility of more snow.
