(Northampton, MA) — Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse is refusing to answer questions about an OUI bust involving his cousin. Early Saturday Nicholas Duclos was arrested in a car issued to Morse by the city of Holyoke. Police say Duclos was drunk when he blew through downtown Northampton violating traffic laws, landing illegally on a section of the bike path. Earlier Morse claimed Duclos secretly made off with his car keys while the two were socializing at Bishops Lounge. Yet Duclos, who has a suspended license, told police Morse gave him permission to drive the car. Monday Morse cancelled a meeting with reporters at the “Springfield Republican,” leaving many questions unanswered.
