Drug Take Back Day Labeled a Success

(Northampton, MA) – Local police are declaring this weekend’s “Prescription Drug Take Back Day” a success. A spokeswoman for the Northwestern District Attorney’s office says 60 large boxes of old or unused prescriptions were collected in Hampshire County alone. Similar amounts were collected in Franklin County. Among the items collected was a 25 pound jar of pills, which was turned in at South Hadley’s police headquarters.
