PHOENIX (AP) — The braids Willie Nelson cut off in 1983 as a show of support while Waylon Jennings pursued sobriety will be auctioned.

The Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix will host the auction of Jennings’ belongings on Oct. 5. The collection is being offered by Jennings’ wife, Jessi Colter.

The auction also includes a motorcycle that once belonged to Buddy Holly, the original signed contract for The Highwaymen, John Lennon’s handwritten letter to Jennings and a custom pair of cowboy boots emblazoned with an “H” for original owner Hank Williams.
