Reunited rockers Soundgarden will tour without drummer Matt Cameron next year due to the musician’s commitments with his other band Pearl Jam.

Cameron joined the “Alive” hitmakers in 1998, a year after Soundgarden split, and he has spent the past few weeks busy promoting Pearl Jam’s new album “Lightning Bolt.”

Eddie Vedder and his bandmates are expected to continue an ongoing tour well into 2014, and although dates have yet to be announced, Cameron wants to keep his schedule clear so he can honor his commitment to the group.

The decision means he will not be able to join his Soundgarden pals on the road, but Cameron insists he will be back.

A statement released on Soundgarden’s website on Friday reads: “I will be taking 2014 off from Soundgarden touring due to prior commitments promoting Lightning Bolt with my brothers in Pearl Jam and the desire to have more time at home with my family.

“I am trying to balance the many twists and turns of my awesome music career. This is temporary. I am still an active member of Soundgarden.”

Grunge stars Soundgarden reunited in 2010 and are planning to hit the stage in 2014 at the Lollapalooza festival in Chile, in addition to shows in Argentina, Brazil and Germany. More dates are expected to be announced.

Michael Jackson’s hometown plans three-day birthday bash

FILE - In this March 5, 2009 file photo, Michael Jackson is shown at a press conference in London. Testimony from AEG Live executive Paul Gongaware on his interactions with Jackson and his negotiations with the singer’s doctor dominated the fifth week of a civil case against the company filed by the superstar’s mother, Katherine. On Tuesday May 28, 2013, Gongaware reluctantly acknowledged that he negotiated the $150,000 per month rate that Jackson’s doctor expected to be paid to serve on the “This Is It” tour.
